Lionsgate announced 1992 Blu-ray and DVD release date for the latest crime thriller starring Fast & Furious vet Tyrese Gibson. This comes more than two months after the film, produced by Snoop Dogg, was shown in theaters.
“The film follows Mercer as he desperately tries to rebuild his life and relationship with his son amidst the turbulent Los Angeles uprising of 1992 following the Rodney King sentencing,” the official synopsis reads. Across town, a father and son put their strained relationship to the test when they plan a dangerous heist from the factory where Mercer works. As tensions rise in Los Angeles and chaos erupts, the two families reach a boiling point when they clash.
When is the 1992 Blu-ray and DVD release date?
Following its digital release, the 1992 film will finally be available for purchase on Blu-ray and DVD starting November 5. Since its debut, the film has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. It currently has a Popcornmeter score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film is directed by Ariel Frumin from a screenplay co-written by Frumin and Sasha Penn, based on the latter’s original story. The cast also includes Cle Bennett, Dylan Arnold, Christopher Amanuel, Michael Beasley, Uri Pfeiffer, Tosin Morohonvola, and Oleg Taktarov, with Scott Eastwood and Ray Liotta. It was produced by Fromin, Penn, Andreas Rummel, Maurice Fadida and Adam Kolbrenner, with Snoop Dogg, Gibson and Tita executive producing.
