Lionsgate has released a new trademark Ballerina stickerteasing the upcoming John Wick spin-off film led by Ana de Armas.

The new poster doesn’t reveal much but it shows Eve Macaro as Ana de Armas, a ballet dancer training to become an assassin in the upcoming film. The poster features Armas’ back full of tattoos, including the phrase “Lux in Tenebris” on her back, a Latin phrase meaning “light in the darkness.”

What is the theme of the ballerina?

“The film takes place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, and follows Ballerina Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) as she begins her training in the killing traditions of Ruska Roma,” the official synopsis reads.

Ronnie, previously played by Unity Phelan in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, is a ballerina seeking revenge after her family is murdered. The film also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, Sharon Duncan Brewster, David Castaneda, and the late Lance Reddick.

Keanu Reeves also reprises his role as John Wick in the film.

Len Wiseman previously directed 2003’s Underworld, 2006’s Underworld: Evolution, 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard, and 2012’s Total Recall. The screenplay was written by Shay Hatten, while Rebecca Angelo, Lauren Shuker Bloom, Emerald Fennell, and Michael Finch, Weisman in Contributing Additional Literary Materials (Non-Screen) by the Writers Guild of America. Reeves produced the film with Basil Iwanyk, Erika Lee, and Chad Stahelski.

From the world of John Wick: Ballerina will be released in US theaters on June 6, 2025.
