new Bear season 4 update Here courtesy of the FX president, as he reveals that the vast majority of the show’s fourth season has already been filmed.

Speaking during an appearance on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast, FX president John Landgraf was asked about season 4 of The Bear. Landgraf revealed that filming for Season 4 has mostly already been completed, and that of the total 20 episodes comprising Seasons 3 and 4, more than half have been completed.

“Out of twenty episodes, they shot about sixteen and a half so they could go back into production in February to finish,” Landgraf said.

The news appears to confirm reports from earlier this year that season 4 of The Bear was being filmed concurrently with season 3, something that came to air after the season 3 premiere. Although Season 4 isn’t over yet, the fact that there are only three and a half episodes left (assuming there are 10 episodes in Season 4) means we may not have to wait long for it to return.

Season 3 of The Bear premiered June 27 on Hulu with ten new episodes.
