Channing Tatum had no choice but to reveal everything – literally – when he met Peter Dinklage for the first time on set Roof man.
To promote the Derek Cianfrance-directed comedy, Tatum got to work Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (October 7) and reported that he was completely naked while filming a scene with Dinklage. Filming was also the first time the actors met.
About eight minutes into the video below, Tatum said he was “naked” while greeting Dinklage for the first time, whom he had “never met” before.
He continued, “I literally shook his hand and said, ‘Okay, you’re going to learn everything about me today. This is weird.’
Myers, who has seen the film, said there was “no trickery” to the level of Tatum being naked, and the actor agreed, saying he was wearing his “birthday suit” for much of the comedy.
Tatum added that the camera crew needed a “plan” while he was naked on screen so as not to show the unmentionable.
Tatum recalls that in one scene, he had to jump over a bike rack, which would have enlarged his private parts.
“I have to jump on this bike rack where the camera is right behind me. So if I jump, I mean it’s… right under the barrel,” he said.
