The Bullet Train star has said that he and Evan Peters have a healthy relationship, despite playing the same character in two different series.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson shared the duo’s interaction about Quicksilver on Interview with IMDb. While speaking about their exchange at Comic Con, he revealed that the two had a surreal reaction to the situation. So much so that the two exclaimed, “Oh my God, aren’t we so lucky to have been here and still be here doing what we love to do? But it’s funny that we’re in two different kinds of universes doing it.”

The 34-year-old actor then praised his Kick-Ass co-star for his brilliant portrayal of the iconic Marvel speedster. Speaking about Peters’ take on Quicksilver, Taylor-Johnson noted that “there was a lot of admiration for what he was able to do with his character, with some things that were great and worked really well.”

The interview also saw Taylor-Johnson getting a pair of action figures for himself and Scarlet Witch. Upon seeing the statuette of himself, the actor described the experience as “kind of amazing” and “pretty overwhelming.”

Aaron Taylor-Johnson then asked an interesting question regarding the fate of Quicksilver and the powers of Elizabeth Olsen’s character in the MCU. Referring to the Scarlet Witch’s powers of altering reality, he said, “I don’t know why you didn’t revive me, though.”

Quicksilver’s reign in the MCU was brief, to say the least, as the superhero met his maker in his first appearance. Since then, the actor has yet to reprise the role. Aaron Taylor-Johnson will now appear in Sony’s upcoming Kraven the Hunter film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on December 13, 2024.
