AMC has released a new version Witches of Mayfair Teaser for season twoa preview of the return of the supernatural horror-thriller series based on the works of Anne Rice.

The trailer for the new season previews things picked up from the end of season one. Rowan Mayfair (Alexandria Daddario) gave birth to the demon Lasher (Jack Huston), and now she must fight to protect her family after things go wrong.

Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy of novels, Mayfair Witches hails from Masters of Sex’s Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, both of whom serve as writers and executive producers. The series stars Alexandra Daddario as Rowan, Jack Huston as Lasher, Tongai Chirisa as Cyprian Griff, and Harry Hamlin as Courtland Mayfair. Season 2 will also introduce Alyssa Girls as Moira Mayfair, Ted Levine as Julian Mayfair, and Thora Birch and Gifford Mayfair.

The series revolves around an intuitive young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the unlikely heiress to a family of wizards. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must deal with the evil presence that has haunted her family for generations.

The first season of the series consists of eight episodes, produced by AMC Studios. Christopher Rice is executive producer of all projects based on his late mother’s iconic works, which were acquired by AMC Networks in 2020. This marks the second project in the network’s expanding Anne Rice universe, following the Interview with the Vampire series.
