Apple Original Films has acquired the rights to the romantic drama To all of youincluding Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots, setting the release date window. Besides portraying one of the main characters, Goldstein co-wrote the screenplay with the film’s director, William Bridges.
‘All of You’ from Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots will be released on Apple TV+ in 2025
All of You will premiere on Apple TV+ sometime in 2025. The film had its world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024. MRC, Republic Pictures, and Ryder Picture Company produced the film. Bridges and Goldstein received production credits alongside Ryder’s Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett.
The film is set in a near future where test results can reveal soulmates. Best friends Simon (Brett Goldstein) and Laura (Imogen Poots) have strong feelings for each other. When someone takes the test, desperate to know who they should be with, it yields startling results, inevitably changing both their lives.
Notably, Goldstein and Bridges previously used this premise in their 2013 short film For Life. Furthermore, AMC’s short-lived series Soulmites is also set in the near future and revolves around a test that can reveal with 100% accuracy which person destiny is aligned with. Soulmates premiered on October 5, 2020, and AMC greenlighted another season even before the series premiered. However, these plans were eventually reversed, and Soulmate was canceled after the first season.
The cast of All of You also includes Zawe Ashton, Jenna Coleman, Stephen Cree, Murray Bartlett, Chloe East, Eva Magyar, and Alara Sattar Khan.
The film is the latest entry in Goldstein’s highly successful collaboration with Apple. Previously, he played Roy Kent on the sports comedy series Ted Lasso and co-created the comedy-drama series Shrinking with Bill Lawrence and Jason Segel. For his work in Ted Lasso, he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series respectively in 2021 and 2022.
