In a recent sit-down with Cam Capone News, Dash responded to remarks made by Tony Yayo, who claimed Jay-Z doesn’t look after his artists the way 50 Cent does. The conversation was sparked after Memphis Bleek admitted on Drink Champs that Jay was never particularly concerned with his financial struggles.
Dash commented:
“Jay is cool, but he doesn’t look out for anyone. Bleek stays loyal because he knows a lot of opportunities came from Jay, and he won’t bite the hand that fed him. As for me, I’m different—I don’t put another man’s fingers in my mouth. I’m not dependent on anyone, and I’ll never bite the hand that tries to control me.”
Taking Aim at Media Critics
Dash also addressed long-standing criticism from media figures such as Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, accusing them of siding with Jay-Z and trying to tarnish his reputation.
“For the past decade they’ve tried to paint me as broke,” Dash said. “But honestly, I don’t care. I’m comfortable, and I even like when people underestimate me. As long as I’m in the algorithm, I’m good.”

The businessman stressed that unlike many in the industry, he operates debt-free and values his independence above all.
“If you’re in debt, you’re controlled. The people who give you money dictate your every move. I refuse to live that way,” he explained.
Dash concluded by reaffirming that his fight is about legacy, not validation:
“I’m focused on protecting my family’s future. This is about my children, and I’m fighting for them now.”
