Cunk on Life Netflix Release Date Announced for Diane Morgan’s Mockumentary

Philomena Kunk ventures out on another mission. Netflix has announced the release date of the one-hour special Being alive With the comedian Diane Morgan It returns as a documentary and investigative journalist.

The character was first introduced in Charlie Brooker’s film Weekly Wipe, where Morgan starred as Philomena Kanke. Morgan went on to star as the documentarian in 2018’s Cunk On Britain, 2019’s Cunk & Other Humans, and 2022’s Cunk On Earth, which Netflix has made available for streaming in the United States.

Morgan received most praise for her impressive portrayal of the clueless Philomena Kunk, a character known for her comedic and silly approach to life’s most serious topics. Now, in her next project – described as her “most ambitious endeavor” to date – Philomena Kanke will try to find the answer to life’s most common question: “What’s the point of it all?”

Cunk on Life is set to premiere on Netflix on January 2, 2025, with Philomena Cunk returning to explore life and what it’s really about. On her journey she will find answers to many concepts discovered on Earth as well as some well-known innovators throughout history.

“What’s the point of all this?” It is a question that humans have been asking themselves since the dawn of history. But as we cling to our dying planet, working around the clock as we are slowly replaced by machines, now more than ever, people are desperately searching for meaning in their lives – before someone invents a computer that understands them for them. “Them,” reads the description (trans Delivery time).

Cunk on Life was created and written by Black Mirror creator Brooker. The Campbells directed the upcoming special, with Morgan serving as one of the writers alongside Ben Caudill, Erika Eller, Charlie George, Eli Goldstone, Jason Hazeley, Lucia Keskin, Joel Morris, and Michael Odewelle.

Cunk on Life premieres on Netflix on January 2.
