Up to 1.8x faster than MacBook Pro with M1 chip
The 14-inch MacBook Pro is available starting at $1,599, while the 16-inch version starts at $2,499. With the M4 chip installed, the new MacBook Pro is up to 1.8 times faster than the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M1 chip, Apple said. The higher-end PCs come with M4 Pro and M4 Max versions of the new, more powerful chip.
Apple has unveiled an iMac with the M4 With Apple Intelligence on Monday at $1,299. Deliveries of both the MacBook Pro and iMac will begin on November 8.
The new and updated products come as Apple prepares to release its latest quarterly earnings after the market close on Thursday, with analysts monitoring early signs of an AI-driven iPhone 16 upgrade cycle.
