Elizabeth Olsen Joins Cast of Panic Carefully Thriller With Julia Roberts

Elizabeth Olsen Join the cast Panic carefully.

Panic Carefully is a new thriller directed by Sam Esmail for Warner Bros. Pictures. Julia Roberts, who previously worked with Esmail in 2023’s Leave the World Behind, will star in the title role.

Olsen is best known for playing Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She will soon return to voice the character in the Marvel Zombies animated series, which will premiere in 2025.

Olsen most recently starred in the 2023 film His Three Daughters alongside Carrie Coon and Natasha Lyonne. She will soon be seen in Fleur Fortuné’s The Assessment, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024.

Her filmography also includes 2013’s Oldboy, 2014’s Very Good Girls, 2014’s Godzilla, 2017’s Ingrid Goes West, 2017’s Wind River, and more.

What else do we know about panicking carefully?

Panic plot details are being carefully kept under wraps at this time; Although Deadline describes it as being in the same vein as the Mr. Robot series (created by Esmail) and 1991’s The Silence of the Lambs.

The Deadline article also notes that “the project went out to various studios and streamers near the top of this year, with Warner Bros. prevailing in a heated bidding war, in part due to its commitment to a theatrical release.”

Ishmael and Chad Hamilton are producing the film for Email Corp. Along with Scott Stuber, Roberts, Marissa Yris Gill and Lisa Gillan. Besides Leave the World Behind, Esmail directed the 2014 film Comet starring Justin Long and worked on the Amazon Prime Video series Homecoming, which saw Roberts play Heidi Bergman in the first season.

Panic Carefully is expected to begin production in January 2025 in England. A release date has not been set yet.
