Standing on Cats’ Shoulders: The Bubbles and the Shitrockers Story is a new Trailer Park Boys film directed by Charlie Lightning. It stars Smith as Bubbles, Roach as Randy, Rob Wells as Ricky, and John Paul Tremblay as Julian.

What happens in the Trailer Park Boys movie clip?

After traveling to Europe to open for The Boxmasters, an exclusive trailer for Trailer Park Boys shows Bubbles and Randy meeting Billy Bob Thornton, who founded the band and plays him in the film. While Thornton seems a bit surprised by Randy’s lack of a shirt, Bubbles makes a strong impression and receives an invitation to a party later in the evening.

“As Bubbles and his band, The Shitrockers, perform shows across Nova Scotia, a viral Internet video leads to a European tour opening for Billy Bob Thornton and The Boxmasters,” the film’s synopsis reads. “With Randy as their road leader, they head to Prague but are soon released from the tour, working the streets to survive. Can Ricky and Julian come to the rescue?

Bubbles and The Shitrockers is a real-life musical by Smith. The band will release a new 14-song album next fall.

Trailer Park Boys, a new film written by Smith, stars Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones and Robert Sheehan of The Umbrella Academy.

Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties: The Bubbles and the Shitrockers Story will be released in U.S. theaters nationwide, including Los Angeles and New York City, on December 6, 2024.
