Universal has revealed the first look at its upcoming device Dark universe Monster animation, revealing what some of the park’s most iconic characters would look like.
The new monsters are part of Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment at Universal Orlando Resort, one of five worlds scheduled to appear in the Universal Epic Universe in 2025.
The ride will feature 14 characters, four of which include Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster, the Wolf Man, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Universal’s Dark Universe World is scheduled to open on May 22, 2025.

What universal monsters will be in the Dark Universe?
The new area, titled Universal Pictures Dark World Universe, will allow attendees to delve into the mythology of iconic characters like Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, Bride of Frankenstein, and more, including more modern characters like Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein.
Fans will make their way to the Dark Universe by traveling through an “electric portal,” which will harness the power of the Darkmoor. Once inside, fans will be able to get a clear view of Frankenstein’s Palace, which serves as the centerpiece of the entire area.
In terms of things to do, attendees will be able to take part in rides like the Frankenstein Experience, which sees fans delve deep into the catacombs of Frankenstein Manor to watch another experience take place.
A journey based on The Wolf Man is also available, as well as makeup experiments and encounters with some monsters. Dining options such as Das Stakehouse, The Burning Blade Tavern and Dr. Lacey’s Cottage.
