talks Wild robot 2 Development began to turn around after the massive success of the first film. According to author Peter Brown, he is cautiously optimistic that one will happen.
Speaking to ComingSoon, Brown – who wrote The Wild Robot and its sequels – said he hopes a sequel will come but doesn’t know exactly what the film will be. Although there are three total books in The Wild Robot series, he’s not sure how many movies will be made as well.

“Yes, there are three books, and who knows if it will be three or two, or who knows how many movies will be made,” Brown said. “It’s not official yet. Hopefully there will be a sequel at least. There’s a second book called The Wild Robot Escapes, which I know Chris and Jeff have read and loved. I feel like the first two books in the series are one really big story. So I think they’re really hoping to Get the green light to make it happen. But we’ll see, we’ll see. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I’m cautiously optimistic that there will be a sequel, and I know a lot of us are hoping that will happen.
A sequel novel to Brown’s The Wild Robot, titled The Wild Robot Escapes, follows Rose stranded on a remote, wild island. While there, the robot must “learn from unwelcome animals and adapt to its surroundings, but can it overcome the challenges of the civilized world and find its way home to Brightbelle and the island?”
The first The Wild Robot movie was released in theaters in September and was a huge success for DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures. The film has grossed more than $230 million at the global box office and is considered a strong contender for Best Animated Feature at the upcoming 97th Academy Awards.
The film stars Lupita Nyong’o as Rose, Pedro Pascal as Fink, Catherine O’Hara as Pinktail, Bill Nighy as Longneck, Kate Connor as Bright Bell, Stephanie Hsu as the robot Vontra, Mark Hamill as Thorne, and Matt Berry. As Badler and Feng. Ramez in the role of Thunderbolt. It was directed by Chris Sanders, best known for his work in blockbusters such as The Croods, How to Train Your Dragon, and Lilo & Stitch. It is produced by longtime Kung Fu Panda producer Jeff Herman.
