What’s the only thing better than decadent holiday desserts? The ones you don’t have to make yourself. Along with all the imitation desserts, heat-and-eat apps and deep discounts Costco is offering this month, the warehouse giant just unveiled a brand-new cake that’s quickly becoming a member favorite.

Fans who have already tried the new dessert can’t recommend it enough, and fans who haven’t tried it yet are racing to the store. “Getting my car keys heading to Costco,” one fan announced, and we totally get it.

New White Chocolate Raspberry Round Cake from Costco

At this point, we’ve all come to expect great things from The Warehouse Bakery. From classic sheet cakes to seasonal favorites, Costco has pretty much mastered the art of mass-produced deliciousness. But every so often, he drops something very special that requires our full attention, and this is one of those times.

Introducing this White Chocolate Raspberry Round Cake, now available exclusively at Costco Bakery. This 9-inch-tall beauty features layers of light, fluffy vanilla cake, decadent (and seedless) raspberry jam, silky white chocolate ganache, and dreamy mascarpone mousse. Not only does the size of the cake catch your eye, but the elegant design makes it the perfect centerpiece for your holiday table.

“I need this,” one commenter declared. Believe us, we feel the same.

Now, if you’re thinking this cake looks a little familiar, you’re not alone. Many commenters pointed out the similarities between this new creation and Whole Foods’ beloved Berry Chantilly cake — a dessert that caused a riot on social media when the store changed the original recipe.

While both cakes share a berry-and-cream flavor, Whole Foods’ version features fewer layers and is made with whole berries and Chantilly cream. But perhaps the recent buzz around Berry Chantilly cake has caught the attention of the Costco bakery team, who decided to take inspiration from the cult favorite berries and cream.

“Can you tell this is a remake of Chantilly cake?” one commenter asked. We’ll leave it up to you to decide. Either way, we’re happy to see it on Costco shelves.

Creator @costcohotfinds describes this as “one of the best cakes [she has] Ever from Costco. And we trust her judgment—she’s tried every type of dessert that comes out of busy bakery ovens.

Fans in the comments echo her comments. “So delicious!” one member exclaimed. “We love it! Not overly sweet,” another shared.

Costco’s round cakes usually feed about 16 people, which makes $22.99 seem like a fair price. As one commenter pointed out, making a cake like this from scratch will cost you that much or more. “Home bakers can’t compete with this if you just compare prices,” they said.

So, if you’re looking for an excuse to do a Costco campaign, this is your sign. This white chocolate raspberry round cake is ready to take your holiday table to the next level.
