Coming I know what you did last summer 3 We’ve obtained a new behind-the-scenes photo, teasing the start of production on the film, set to debut next year.
The latest image comes from the upcoming reboot’s official social media channels, and shows off the iconic hook used by the killers in the film franchise. Nothing else of note was shown, but posts linked to the image indicated that production on the project had officially begun.

What do we know about the ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ reboot?
Scheduled to hit theaters on July 18, 2025, I Know What You Did Last Summer 3 is directed by Jennifer Caitin Robinson from a screenplay she co-wrote with Sam Lansky, Jeff Howard, and Leah McKendrick. It is produced by Neal Moritz. At present, additional details about the plot remain confidential.
After more than two decades since last starring in 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt have signed on to reprise their roles as Rain Bronson and Julie James.
They will be joined by newcomers to the franchise Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid, The Tattooist of Auschwitz), Madeline Cline (Outer Banks, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery), Chase Sui Wonders (Bodies Bodies Bodies, City on Fire), Sarah Pidgeon (Lazareth, Tiny Beautiful Things), Tyreek Weathers (The Game), Lola Tong (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Austin Nichols (The Day) The Day After Tomorrow, John from Cincinnati), Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story), and musician/model Gabrielette.
