ComingSoon is excited to release “Let’s Go to Work” for the first time from the album Yellowstone Season 5. V.2 – Original series soundtrack By Brian Tyler and Vivian Britton. Yellowstone Season 5 – Original Series Soundtrack will be released by Lakeshore Records on December 6, 2024. It is available now for Pre-save.
Brian Tyler is an award-winning composer who has worked on a number of notable projects, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Crazy Rich Asians, The Fate of the Furious, and The Super Mario Bros. He also worked with Taylor Sheridan on the spin-off series Yellowstone (1923).
Britton Vivian is an Emmy Award-nominated composer best known for his work on Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone. He also composed the scores for Yellowstone 1883 and 1923, which also earned him Emmy nominations, among other award nominations, including BMI Awards. He also composed the score for Guan Hu’s 2024 independent film Black Dog, as well as the feature film Five Feet Apart.
The series “chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States,” according to the synopsis. “Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect—the ranch is in constant conflict with those on its borders—an expanding city, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.”

Yellowstone was created and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The series currently stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbell, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Jill Birmingham, Jane Landon, and Katherine Kelly. It is executive produced by Costner, Art Linson, David C. Glaser, Bob Yari, Stephen Kaye, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros, and Keith Cox. It is a production of MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
“It’s been a dream to continue the Dutton family saga, and it’s a joy to see this work through to its epic conclusion. Taylor Sheridan’s stunning vision of the world is an absolute joy for a composer,” Tyler said in a statement about the upcoming soundtrack. “As the stakes rise higher, so do Also calling for music that resonates emotionally with the trials and tribulations of our characters. I wanted to bring a tone of darkness and intensity that reflects a world of changing relationships, but also leaves space for rebirth and renewal. I wanted to handle the death of John, a really beloved character, with great care. I hope our wonderful audience finds this moment musically somber and haunting, while sensitively highlighting the betrayal and shift in gravity that such a moment brings. It has been a true pleasure in my career to work alongside Taylor Sheridan and Britton Vivian, two creatives for whom I have the utmost respect and trust – together we have created a beautiful piece of art, which I hope will be cherished for a long time. After its conclusion.”
