Top It announced today that it will be expanding its Turner Classic Movies Hub initiative, with hundreds of new movies and exciting shows monthly coming to the platform starting this month.
The new investment in TCM Center on Max will see the TCM brand expand on the streaming service with a slew of new films, as well as “themed selections of carefully curated classics,” according to Max.
What’s included in the TCM Hub expansion?
The expansion begins this month by highlighting the legendary Mickey Rooney, with films such as National Velvet and Words and Music joining the line-up. Humphrey Bogart’s 125th birthday is also being celebrated, with his films Key Largo, Invisible Stripes and It All Came True also joining the service.
Royce Battleman, executive vice president of content acquisitions at Warner Bros., said: Discovery: “At Max, we pride ourselves on our strong dedication to a robust library of fan-favorite cult favorites and classics.” “Our latest expansion of TCM titles brings even more timeless stories and invites viewers to enjoy iconic cinematic moments on the platform.”
In January, Max will celebrate the birthday of the legendary Cary Grant, with films My Favorite Wife and Destination Tokyo, while also adding George Raft’s films Every Dawn I Die and Red Light to the service. In February, the platform will release a “31 Days of the Oscars” collection highlighting several Oscar-winning films, including The Harvey Girls, Jezebel, Mildred Pierce, Neptune’s Daughter, The Last Time I Saw Paris, and more.
“By strengthening TCM’s footprint on Max, we are giving fans another platform to experience what they have come to expect from TCM – an evolving slate of blockbuster films featuring Hollywood legends,” said Michael Ouellen, President, Turner Classic Movies.
