ComingSoon is pleased to offer a free giveaway of Mondo’s What We Do in the Shadows poster, celebrating the FX show and designed by Robert Lasky. Beautifully illustrated, it features artwork by Laszlo Cravensworth and Nadia of Antipaxus (along with a haunted Nadia doll). The limited edition poster is available for sale at Mondo Store Through Sunday at 11:59 a.m. Central time.
“I love monsters, so when Mondo approached me to do a poster for FX’s What We Do in the Shadows, a show about some of the funniest monsters out there, I was thrilled!” Lasky said. The biggest challenge was having to choose just two vampires and humorous elements to put in the painting. Laszlo’s witch hat was suggested by Josh Manderville [Mondo Art Director]And I thought it would be fun to include her Nadia doll. I wanted to capture Laszlo’s arrogant nature, so I chose to have him pose in a way reminiscent of those classic self-aggrandizing military portraits. As for Nadia, with her arrogant personality, I thought she would definitely want to be photographed sitting on her throne in the Vampire Council. Moody green and blue colors create an exotic atmosphere. And the vampire people, well, it seemed appropriate to have some touches of red.”

What We Do in the Shadows is about four ancient vampires who live together on Staten Island with their loyal friend Guillermo. It is based on the 2014 vampire mockumentary by Taika Waititi. The series stars Kevin Novak, Matt Berry, Natassia Demetriou, Harvey Gillen, Mark Proksch, Kristen Schaal, and more. The series recently received several Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor for Perry’s performance in Season 5.
