Director Chad Stahelski recently provided an update on the highly anticipated Rainbow Six film, starring Michael B. Jordan. In an exclusive interview with DirectStahelski stressed that the team “takes [their] time” to make sure the film was done right. “We just want to get it right,” he explained, adding that there had been “a lot of good development work” and “a lot of good ideas being thrown around.”

Rainbow Six, based on Tom Clancy’s novel and the popular video game series, will be a sequel to Without Regrets, which starred Jordan as US Marine John Kelly. Stahelski noted that the development process takes longer due to the complexities of adapting such a major franchise.

“Michael B. Jordan is one of my favorite cast members that I’ve ever had to develop or work with,” he said. “He’s a great guy, he has a lot of energy.
