The 2002 shooter is brought to modern consoles with The Thing: Remastered

The Thing: Remastered is a collaborative effort between Nightdive Studios and Universal Products & Experiences to recreate the 2002 horror third-person shooter. Based on John Carpenter’s beloved 1982 film The Thing, the game’s plot is essentially a sequel as it takes place after the events Which took place in Police Station No. 31.

The Thing: Remastered is getting several upgrades for modern consoles and PC. Nightdive Studios has updated the game’s KEX engine for current generation consoles, allowing for resolutions of up to 4K, and frame rates of up to 120 fps. Compatible hardware is needed to achieve these standards, which means you’ll need a compatible monitor and a PC, PS5, or Xbox Series The studio also made improvements to character models, textures, animation, lighting, and atmospheric effects.
