Rosario Dawson to Lead Supernatural Horror Movie Unmerciful Good Fortune

Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson has signed on for the lead role in the upcoming supernatural horror film titled, Good luck is merciless. The film is based on the play of the same name written by playwright Edwin Sanchez. Dawson will take on the lead role of the project.

“Unmerciful Good Fortune is one of those truly rare projects that takes you out of the gate and doesn’t let go. It’s smart, scary, innovative and heartbreaking,” Dawson said in a statement. “Since the fall, it has blown me away and I knew I had to jump on board to produce it as well because I simply couldn’t Risking never seeing the light of day because – it’s not that it doesn’t fit into the box – it simply defies boxes.

Dawson is no stranger to the horror genre, having previously starred in Quentin Tarantino’s 2007 film Death Proof, the sequel to the 2019 horror comedy Zombieland: Double Tap, and Disney’s Haunted Mansion remake. She is currently attached to star in another horror film – Deepest, Darkest with Ernie Hudson and Rahul Kohli. She will also reprise her titular role as Ahsoka Tano in the upcoming second season of the Star Wars franchise.

Fatima’s defense takes a mysterious turn when she claims to have the psychic ability to see how someone will die when she touches them and reveals that she kills people to prevent “a fate worse than death.”

Unmerciful Good Fortune will be directed by Tirsa Hackshaw in her feature film debut. The film is produced by Dawson, Tom DeSanto, Corey Large, and Brian Kirchhoff, with Jordan Wilson and Hackshaw set to serve as executive producers.
