Madame Web Star Celeste O’Connor He was tapped to join Screaming 7 They have been cast for the next installment of Paramount Pictures’ long-running slasher franchise. Additional details about their character are still being kept under wraps.
O’Connor is no stranger to the horror genre, having previously starred in 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife and its recent sequel Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, where they played Lucky. Along with Scream 7, they are also currently attached to star in the sci-fi film UAP, which will be helmed by The Kissing Booth’s Joel Courtney.
Who will lead the Scream 7 cast?
Scream 7 will see the return of vets Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox reprising their fan-favorite roles of Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers. In a previous interview, Grey’s Anatomy alumnus Patrick Dempsey confirmed that he has already been in talks about possibly reprising his role as Mark Kincaid, Sidney’s love interest, from the 2000 film Scream 3. Additionally, one of Ghostface’s original actors, Matthew Lillard, expressed , also about his opinion. Interest in returning as Stu, despite the villain’s apparent death in the original film.
Along with O’Connor, 1883 star Isabella May has also signed on to the project. At the moment, it remains unclear whether the remaining characters from the last two series, including Jasmine Savoy Brown’s Mindy Meeks-Martin and Mason Gooding’s Chad Meeks-Martin, will also return following Melissa Barrera’s controversial ouster from the project. The seventh installment will be directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson from a screenplay written by Jay Busiek. It is produced by Paul Neinstein, William Chirac, and James Vanderbilt.
