Warner Bros. announced Super/Man Digital release date for the latest documentary about the aftermath of Superman actor Christopher Reeve’s unfortunate horse-riding accident that left him paralyzed. This documentary comes two decades after his death at the age of 52.
“After a life-altering accident, Christopher Reeve persevered, inspiring the world by using his fame to speak out about hope and change our perception of paralysis, all while remaining a devoted activist, actor and director, devoted father, and loving husband to Dana, “the beating heart of the family,” the film’s official synopsis reads. Father, and interviews with A-list Hollywood actors who were Reeve’s colleagues and friends. The film is a poignant and lively cinematic retelling of Reeve’s remarkable story.
When is the digital release date for Super/Man?
Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story will be available for purchase on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango At Home, and more, starting November 5. Since its debut at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, the film has received near-perfect scores on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer and Popcornmeter.
The film is directed by Ian Bonhot and Peter Ettedgi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Otto Burnham. It features interviews with Reeve’s children, Alexandra Reeves Givens, Matthew Reeve, and Will Reeve. Bonhôte, Lizzie Gillett and Robert Ford are set to serve as producers.
