Lionsgate announced White bird The digital release date for the latest World War II drama, which serves as a spin-off of 2017’s Wonder, comes less than a month after the Helen Mirren-led film debuted in theaters.

“It follows Julian, who has struggled to belong since he was expelled from his former school for his treatment of Augie Pullman,” the synopsis reads. “To change his life, Julien’s grandmother finally reveals to Julien her own story of courage – during her youth in Nazi-occupied France, a boy protects her from mortal danger. White Bird will be available to rent or own on digital platforms, starting Friday, November 1.
