Yellowjackets Season 3 Teaser Trailer Previews Hilary Swank’s New Character

Yellowjackets Season 3 will premiere on February 14, 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime. It will then be broadcast for the first time two days later on Showtime.

What happens in the new Yellowjackets teaser?

The teaser comes a little over a minute later, accompanied by an eerie repetition of “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.” It starts with a girl running in the woods. They appear to be being chased by honorary yellow jackets. This was edited alongside a character in the present, recapping the premise of the Showtime thriller. “Once upon a time, a group of teenagers got stranded in the woods and went completely crazy,” the character sums up.

The Yellowjackets teaser then includes a scene of the teens’ wounded coach, among the cannibal teens’ targets. In the current timeline, Shauna’s daughter says she wants to know what really happened in the woods and the teaser reveals that Shauna is still seeing her dead friend Jackie (played by Ella Purnell).

But perhaps the biggest reveal from the new Yellowjackets preview is that someone is sending threatening letters to the main characters in the present day. Shauna receives these letters, as do Misty and apparently the rest of the adults who survived the wilderness. Vanessa points out that the only people who know what happened are either already in the group or dead.

Finally, after a quick cut to all the exciting moments ahead, including adult Misty apparently stabbing Shauna, Swank’s character is introduced. The lower half of her face is smeared with blood, as the character drops an expletive and then begins running in the other direction. The teaser was unveiled at a Paramount+ panel at this year’s CCXP event in Brazil, which included cast members Sophie Nélis, Sophie Thatcher, Jasmine Savoy-Brown, Courtney Eaton, and Kevin Alves.

The cast of Yellowjackets Season 3 also includes Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tony Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, Nellis, Brown, Eaton, Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Cole, Elvis, Sarah Desjardins, and Simone Kessel. Elijah Wood returns in a recurring role and Joel McHale as a guest star.

Yellowjackets is executive produced by showrunners Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson and Jonathan Lesko. Creative Engine executive Drew Cummins is producing alongside Jeff W. Bird, Sarah L. Thompson, Amini Rosa and Brad Van Aragon. The thriller is produced by Lionsgate Television, with Paramount Global Content Distribution distributed outside Paramount+ markets.
