Anya Taylor-Joy to Star in Apple TV+ Crime Drama Lucky

Anya Taylor-Joy is making headlines luckya crime series coming to Apple TV+. “Lucky” is based on the New York Times bestselling book by Marissa Stapley. The book was also selected for Reese Witherspoon’s book club.

Lucky marks Taylor-Joy’s second high-profile project with Apple. Taylor-Joy is one of the stars of The Gorge, a sci-fi film directed by Scott Derrickson for Apple Original Films. The Gorge premieres on Apple TV+ in 2025.

Lucky is Taylor-Joy’s first major television role since Emmy Award-winning The Queen’s Gambit. Taylor-Joy was nominated for an Emmy and won a SAG, Golden Globe, and Critics’ Choice Award for her performance as Beth Harmon. Taylor-Joy’s recent credits include Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Dune: Part Two, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and The Menu.

Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will produce under their Hello Sunshine banner, while Taylor-Joy will executive produce through her company LadyKiller.
