Sony Pictures has officially changed the format One day of them Release date for the upcoming buddy comedy starring Emmy winner Keke Palmer and Grammy winner SZA. This marks the latter’s acting debut. The film was originally scheduled to be released in theaters on January 24, 2025.
“Best friends and roommates Drew (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to have a day of it,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When they discover that Alyssa’s boyfriend has squandered their rent money, the pair find themselves going to extreme lengths in a comedic race against time to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.”
When is the new One of Them Days release date?
One of Them Days will now hit theaters a week early on January 17, 2025, just in time for Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. Its new release date will put the film directly up against Universal Pictures’ Wolf Man remake. Additional cast includes Katt Williams, Lil Rel Howery, Maude Apatow, Janelle James, Kayla Monterosso Megia, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, and Patrick Cage.
The film is directed by Lawrence Lamont from a screenplay written by Serita Singleton. The creative duo is best known for their work on the Rap Sh!t series, where Ray also served as creator and executive producer. The film is produced by Ray Singleton, Sarah Diya Rastogi, Denise Davis, Charles D. King, James Lopez and Bobby Hanks. In addition to starring, Palmer executive produces alongside Sharon Palmer through their Big Boss banner.
