Crunchyroll has announced the film’s US theatrical release date Attack on Titan: The Final Attack A film that combines the last two episodes of the successful anime series into one huge cinematic experience. This comes after the dark fantasy anime concluded its fourth season over a year ago.
“Humanity lived quietly behind massive walls built to protect themselves from the threat of monstrous creatures called Titans. The century of peace they had lived in was shattered by an attack on their city that left a young boy, Eren Yeager, motherless and vowing revenge on the Titans. Years after he joined the Survey Corps “Eren finds himself facing a deadly enemy and eventually gains a special ability that reveals a new truth about the world he knows…” the official synopsis states.
After venturing beyond the walls and separated from his comrades, Eren finds himself inspired by this new truth and plans the “Rumbling” plan, a terrifying plan to wipe out every living thing in the world. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, a motley crew of Eren’s former comrades and enemies scramble to stop his deadly mission. The only question is: Can they stop it?
When is Attack on Titan: The Last Attack US released?
Attack on Titan: The Final Attack will finally hit US theaters in “early 2025.” Along with its success in securing the theatrical distribution rights to the anime film in North America, Crunchyroll has also acquired the rights to select international territories, including Brazil, Mexico, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. The exact release date will be announced later.
Based on the original story by Hajime, the film is directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, with MAPPA serving as the animation studio and producer. The creative team also includes character designer Tomohiro Kishi, art director Kuniaki Nemoto, editor Masato Yoshitake, and lead animation director Daisuke Niinoma, with Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano providing the music. The Japanese voice cast includes Yuki Kaji as Eren Jaeger, Yui Ishikawa as Mikasa Ackerman, Marina Inoue as Armin Arlilt, Hiro Shimono as Connie Springer, Hiroshi Kamiya as Captain Levi, Kisho Taniyama as Jean Kirschstein, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as As Reiner Braun, Yuu Shimamura as Reiner Braun.
