Emily in Paris’ Lucas Bravo Addresses Return Possibility in Season 5

Lucas Bravo stated that he began to grow away from his character as the seasons progressed. This makes him wonder if he will reprise the role of Gabrielle for Emily in Season 5 of Paris.

The French actor shared his views on the development of Gabrielle’s story in the show, during an interview with IndieWire. Bravo noted that things started out positively for his character, but became worse in subsequent seasons. “Sexy Chef was a big part of me in Season 1, and we grew apart season after season because of the choices he made and because of the direction they made him take. I was never far from him.

Bravo pointed to creative decisions that made Gabriel “unaware of his surroundings, of the dynamism, always a victim, always completely lost in translation and oblivious to anything happening around him and being manipulated by everyone.”

Speaking about the possibilities of his return as Emily in Paris season 5, Lucas Bravo highlighted the limitations he faces while portraying Gabrielle. “We cannot change a word or an emotion. They know what they want and we just have to comply.”

The Freedom star added: “It makes me wonder if I want to be a part of Season 5 because my contract expires in Season 4.” However, despite his negative experience, Bravo reiterated that he would like to return to Emily in Paris. But this can only happen if Gabriel “returns to his cheerful, cheeky, playful, energetic self.”

Meanwhile, lead actress Lily Collins has already confirmed that Emily in Paris will return for season 5. However, the project is yet to get an official release date from Netflix.
